A different kind of rain

June was busy and wonderful!

Started the month with my students' graduation!! First of many- it was amazing!

Isla had a choir concert, the Nickerson's came for a short visit and we all went to a baseball game in Seattle (Mariners vs. Red Sox), then we closed on our new property and got to enjoy the pool and trails for father's day. Most of us finished up school and work and Isla went to overnight camp for a week. Avi and I spent a couple nights in Salem so we could pick her up from camp. Then we did the Pride parade and left for Maine that evening!

May was EVENTFUL! Isla turned 11- she had her birthday celebration at Chibi Chibi Con (at Evergreen State College) we did Olive Garden then took the bus to the campus and ended up at the mall. Hannah and I had a girls getaway trip to Portland for Mother's Day. We stayed at Cascada hotel which has several different soaking pools and saunas- lovely! Then we went camping with friends at Millersylvania State Park for memorial day- lucked out with weather! We participated in a parade in Shelton with the South Sound Bird Alliance. And we ended the month with taking a look at a piece of recreational property for sale outside of Yelm (which we eventually purchased). Adam wrapped up treatment for his autoimmune disease and is feeling better too.
