Laughing Corner

How funny is this "laughing corner"' I found at a park.  I reminds me of the youngest boy we work with who decided he was going to do his "laughing" the other day after lunch.  (Just crack himself up over nothing).  His mom told us that in Indian culture they some times have "laughing circles" which is just that- a circle of people making themselves laugh.  How lovely is that?
It hit me today (I've thought about this before, but it re-hit me today) how much LESS STRESS I have in my life in Hong Kong.  My job is a million times less stressful than it was at FEAT and I spend every evening and weekend alone which is boring, but not stressful at all.  I've had occasional moments of stress, but just knowing this job and situation is temporary keeps everything in perspective.

My laundry lady (and her dog)

This is where I do my laundry.  My laundry lady is super nice and has this cute (old) dog, a fish tank and appears to also feed the stray cats.  I drop off a bag of laundry (which is weighed) and pay her about 4 or 5 dollars US.  I then pick it up the next day and it's all folder and sorted (socks matched up and everything).  She is such a hard worker- she's there 7 days a week doing laundry non-stop all day and night.

A sunny Sunday

A "Mongolian village" (aka expensive Christmas shopping)

Walking home

I walked all over the place today and now my feet are sore.  I decided to go all day without taking a bus or any public transportation, since it was so nice out.  I got some more Christmas presents checked off my list and enjoyed some touristy things as well. I even went to a museum (new to me) about Dr. Sun Yat Sum.  I also stopped by the zoological gardens, aviary and conservatory.  There seemed to be a lot of Christmas events going on today.  And A LOT of shopping (but that's normal).  It was a good weekend!

Ocean Park

Even though we were all morally opposed to dolphin shows, we thought we'd see it since we were there...
I opted out of this one...

Angela, Christopher and I spent the day at Ocean Park.  It is a theme park/zoo/aquarium and it's pretty big.  It is the most scenic theme park I've ever been to!  The views from the roller coasters are goregous. We were exhausted and tired of pushy crowds by the end of the day, but we got an early start and the beginning of the day was great.  I will definitely go back!

Science Museum Field Trip!

I'll let these pictures speak for themselves.  The field trip was a success!

Fun with science

The boys sure love their "science experiments".  I can't wait to take them to the science museum tomorrow!
