Spider Lake Camp Out

Minnie was prepared, but it turns out she doesn't like to swim.....

Jack decided to raft over a bunch of stuff in the morning to cut down on the hiking it back

Trying to take as much as we could in 1  trip back to the car
We had the best time camping at Spider Lake this weekend with Jack, Maggie, Greg (and Minnie).  The weather was amazing and the lake was perfect for swimming/floating in.  We really lucked out also because there are only 2-3 camping sites on the lake and we happened to get the best one!  Oh how I love summer!

Swimming....

Thank you neighbors for allowing  us to use your lake access.... There is nothing quite like swimming in your own private lake.

Family BBQ in Stevenson, WA

My parents rented a house in Stevenson, WA- near Hood River- last week.  My mom was busy with a birding convention and that is how we ended up going to Eagle Creek with my dad.  Sunday night we had a family BBQ and enjoyed the nice weather and view from the deck.

BBQ at Hannah and Seth's

Hannah and Seth had a little BBQ last Friday night as an early birthday celebration for Seth.  We had some good food and it was a nice night to sit outside!  Plus I made corn dip, which I try to make once (and not more) a summer!

Backpacking Eagle Creek

Hannah, Seth, Adam and I took my dad backpacking over the weekend for 1 night at Eagle Creek.  My parents rented a house in the area for a week so it worked out well.   We had excellent weather and found a great campsite on the river- where we set up tents and dropped off our packs and then hiked over to tunnel falls.  It is such a beautiful trail (although crowded).
