Family Nap

Bear with me.... there might be a whole lot of cute puppy/cat photos over the next month as we watch these two form a "friendship"

Meet Ezra

Adam picked up our new puppy, Ezra, over the weekend while I was in San Fransisco for a conference.  She is a sweet heart and we love her.  (Sushi is curious and not so sure...)

We're getting a puppy!!!!

It's official!  We are getting a new member of our family this coming Friday!  We saw this adorable puppy on craigslist (top 2 photos) and we went out today to meet her and her whole litter.   She is a mini-Australia Shepard/border collie/kelpie mix (she will stay pretty small).  She is super playful and has a lot of energy.  It's going to be life changing for sure and we are ready for it.  We are going to name her "Ezra".

Leaving Kauai

I found this centipede on the floor of the cabin- it was acting dead but when we released it, it was very much alive.  Looked in our guidebook to find out it is basically the one thing in Kauai you don't want to run into: they compared the bite to a gunshot wound.  For the rest of the trip I keep looking at the floors.

Coming home...
What a trip!  We had a great time!  Now I'm playing catch up at work and Adam is shopping for puppies (I told him we could get one after we got back from Hawaii).....!

Napali Coast Boat Trip, Kauai

On our last day in Kauai we went for a sunset dinner cruise with "Captain Andy's" and it was amazing: great weather (finally), good food, amazing views and tons of whales.  And we didn't even get sea sick!  What a great way to end our honeymoon!

Hiking the Napali Coast, Kauai

View of the Napali Coast from the road

This was by far, one of the MOST beautiful hikes we've ever been on!  Very muddy and slippery, but we only hiked 2 miles in to the first beach.  From there, we hiked a little bit up the creek and hung out at a waterfall- Adam did some swimming.  We saw whales from the hike and the views were breathtaking.  It started raining as we were hiking out- but we felt pretty lucky to have nice weather on the way in.
