Nature in the City
Adam and I just got back from a long walk around the city. It's a gorgeous and warm day! Jet lag sucks and I really hope we can make it to midnight tonight (since it's new years eve here). Adam seems to be enjoying Hong Kong so far, although all the smells and noises are a bit overwhelming at first.
We made it!

Leaving Washington
Well the weather turned in Olympia and I'm looking forward to getting back to sunny Hong Kong! (It's a high of 70 degrees over there right now). Our flight leaves tonight at 1:00 in the morning, which we're not really excited about our "middle seats" for 14 hours, but hopefully we'll sleep through most of it. Gearing up for some bad movies and airplane food!
I'm just so happy that Adam is flying back with me- I'll be sure to post all about our adventures together.

Christmas
We hosted this Christmas and had 9 people total. We made ham, bacon and date brussle sprouts, challah, onion and cheese casserole. It was a great Christmas, good food and good company. The house has been so cozy with the wood fires that Adam has been very good at maintaining!
Hanukkah
We celebrated Hanukkah on Christmas Eve with potato latkes. (Again, I ate really good while I was home)
Nisqually Wildlife Refuge
It was really nice to get outside while I was home- even though it's pretty cold here in Washington, the weather was mostly great. Lots of sunny days until today (the day we are leaving). We saw lots of birds and enjoyed the long boardwalk at Nisqually last week.
Flying into Japan
I took these when I landed in Tokyo on the way home from Christmas. That flight was only 8 hours.... Adam and I are gearing up for our 14 hour flight tonight!
