A walk in a Maine woods...














We are staying with Adam's dad and his wife right now in North New Portland- about 2 hours north of Portland and out in the woods.   We did a few short hikes today and as you can see, saw a lot of interesting things in the woods today.  We even found a good amount of edible mushrooms.  The "hut" is one of three that a Maine nonprofit (funded by LL Bean and New Balance shoes) has built out in the woods.  They are planning to build 12 in total and you can get lunch or dinner (or beer) there or you can stay the night in a cabin for $100.  It was a beautiful day to be outside!
