Honeymoon... here we come!
This is a picture of the tiny little cabin Adam and I rented for our honeymoon in Kauai. We leave (early) tomorrow morning! Can't wait to unplug (this place has no internet) and relax! It has been a BUSY year!
Hanging out in Portland
We spent Sunday in Portland going for a nice long walk along the river, out to sushi for lunch and then to a nursery in search of a witch hazel plant- which we found. It is Adam and my first plant purchase for the new yard and we're so excited about this plant which provides such beautiful colors in the late winter!
Hannah and Seth's Baby Shower at the Library in the Kennedy School (McMenamins)

What a fun baby shower! My mom and I hosted Hannah and Seth's baby shower and we rented out the library at the Kennedy School (a neighborhood elementary school turned into a venue) and it really turned out perfectly. Hannah is looking (and feeling) so pregnant and we're all excited to meet baby Sadie in less than 2 months! (She is due on St. Patrick's day!) I organized everyone to bring a children's book as a gift for Sadie, so it was fun to see what people brought and now Hannah and Seth have a little library started.
Going green!
Adam has been busy painting in the inside of our house- the funky hallway is now a nice dark green and the living room is more of an olive green (it's not done yet- more pictures to come when he finishes the trim). Still not quite sure what we're going to do with the weird diorama in the hallway... ideas?
Happy Monday
Had a good weekend- we got some sun on Saturday- Adam and I ran a bunch of house-related errands and on Sunday I got to cuddle with Jenny and John's new kitten while we watched the football game. (go Seahawks!) I have a busy week this week, but we are leaving for Hawaii next week!
New Living Room Lights
A lot of the lights in the house need to be replaced, but we started with the living room- what an easy way to make a big change in a room!
Play date!
I watched Finn for a couple hours this afternoon and as you can see, he is super into loving on Sushi- with his head. Super cute. Sushi was amazingly patient too- although she is not so sure about babies and usually hides when Finn is over.
Had a low-key weekend, hunkered down while it was stormy outside. The strong winds are a lot scarier now that we have huge trees all around our house- we listened to branches falling on the roof all night both Friday and Saturday night.
