Eagle Creek Trail

The Eagle Creek Trail in the Columbia River Gorge area of Oregon has been a special place to me for a long time and I'm so sad to hear about the wildfires that have destroyed most of the area. I rounded up some old photos from past backpacking trips to the trail (I've day tripped it a couple times but mostly gone backpacking). My first introduction to the trail was in 2006 when my roommate Alison wanted to share the special side trail she discovered when hiking the PCT from CA to WA. I'm sure it'll be a long time before I (or anyone) is able to return to the area. Given that it's not a safe hike for small children, we probably we're going there any time soon, but it'll always remain a special place for me.

Weekend Fun with Cousins

Hannah and the gang came up for a visit last weekend! I didn't get many pictures but we did also have a fun brunch with Carol, Kevin and Heather at my parent's house on Sunday. As usual, the kids had a great time. Sadie and Caleb enjoyed seeing our chickens and looking for eggs! And meeting Gracie!

Trip to Maine!

What a great trip we just took to Maine! We made so many memories and got to spend time with all of our family and friends while we were there! Isla did pretty well on both flights (and got more screen time then she's ever had) even though she wouldn't sleep. The weather was pretty perfect and we got to do some fun things like a boat ride around the islands and a visit to the wild animal park. We also got to celebrate Temma's birthday on the island with a party on the porch and lots of lobster and appetizers! The cousins had a blast running around together.
