Getting around
Here's a map showing where I live and where I work. It's about an 1 1/2 hour commute by 2 buses (sometimes 1, there's multiple ways to get there). The buses are like roller coasters- I feel like I am taking a roller coaster to work. There's beautiful scenery, curvy roads with lots of hills and the buses are double-decker. It's a pretty fun commute. These pictures are from the top floor of the bus.
The first day of school went very well today. It's amazingly easy compared to previous jobs, but comes with it's own set of challenges as well. The boys are really hard workers and are reinforced simply by social praise and an extra minute or 2 of break time for working efficiently.
I'm pretty happy that tomorrow is friday. My goals for the weekend are to navigate independently to an MTR (subway) station and to get to a beach!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteIs your apartment on the top of the map? Is the background photo that looks like desert part of Hong Kong?
they let you drink on the bus?
ReplyDeleteMy apartment is at the top of the map, but that's not desert in the middle, its a bunch of green jungle hills. I don't think you're technically supposed to eat or drink on the bus, but the driver can't see you from the top decker..
