Lantau Island

Today we went to Lan Tao Island and explored a small fishing village called Tai O. We took a boat trip out to see the pink dolphins, which was really neat- we saw a few of them jumping out of the water.

We also went to the Kowloon side of Hong Kong- which you can get to by ferry or the underground/underwater subway (transportation here is amazing) and had some delicious sushi. It was a great first Saturday!

Last night there was a lightning storm that woke me up. It rained really hard and was still raining in the morning, but cleared up by afternoon.

I am continuously impressed with the diversity of Hong Kong- there's jungle parts, beach, small villages, huge fancy shopping malls and outside markets and tiny streets- all very close together.
