The Star Ferry




this is not the star ferry- but another boat in the water
The Star Ferry is a really cheap and fast way to get from Hong Kong Island to the Kowloon side of Hong Kong.   It's been around forever and I was just reading about how there were riots when the city raised the fares in the 60's.  We took it over the weekend to get to the art museum.  One of the fun things about it is that the backs of the benches change so that you can face either way (just slide them over) since the boat doesn't actually turn around each time it crosses the water.

    It's so cute. Which do you like better - Star Ferry or WA state ferry?

    Well the Star Ferry made me feel like I was going to throw up last time (that harbor is really choppy) and it only lasts about 10 minutes.... so WA ferrys might win that one.
