Apparently these aren't washers. I had the task of finding washers last night for Omkar's science project (for an online class) and the experiment kept not really working. Then Angela told me those weren't washers. That's what happens sometimes with the language barrier here. And my lack of hardware knowledge.... Anyways, I thought it was funny.
We worked on letter writing for "Fun Friday" today. The boys wrote really cute letters, one to Judy Blume telling her how much he likes her books and the other to Yosemite National Park- asking questions about career opportunities in the park. We worked on the format of a business letter, writing addresses and then walked them down to the mail box. I'm hoping they get responses :)
And it's Friday! I have plans with Angela tonight to go to a comedy club in our neighborhood. A good way to end a good week!
those are bolts right? washers are flat.
ReplyDeleteThat right there is a capful of nuts. Bolts are long and threaded, nuts screw on over the bolts, and washers are flat discs that go in between. Those are cool envelopes. Every time I get letters from my family in Australia they come in cool envelopes like that.
ReplyDeleteAre you two crazy? how do you not know what bolts, washers and nuts are...?!
