Checking out the Gion District of Kyoto (Japan part 7)
The Gion District (walking distance from my hostel) is where the guide book tells you "you might spot a real live Geisha" as it one of the most famous places in Japan for Geishas and the business still exists. I strolled around the area which was full of wooden businesses with bamboo shades hiding the doors and windows... I saw about 7 Geishas (some where in taxis) and of course, all the other tourists were doing the same thing. They must get sick of having people follow them and take their picture, but I joined in too.
