Photos from Saturday (Wedding at Millersylvania State Park)

Read here for more for more information about throwing a wedding at Millersylvania State Park.  Here are some of Skylar's photos from the wedding.  We love, love, love the star photos and I want to try to print it as a canvas for the wall.  Now we're just waiting for the photographer's photos to be done...

  1. Hey my name is Marisa and I found your blog when looking up wedding stuff for a friend who's thinking of getting married soon since I'm currently planning a wedding myself for September 2nd and I have a huge list of places that I'm updating for her. It always feels like a small world because I used to live in Olympia and if we still lived in Olympia we probably would have gotten married at Millersylvania State Park. Instead we are getting married at Kitsap Memorial State Park September 2nd since it's closer to where we currently live. I actually wish that we still lived in Olympia but it was too difficult for us to find work without owning a car.

I just thought it was odd looking at your wedding since our wedding colors are also going to be green and orange and I'm also getting married in early September. Also we have a very low budget and one of the caterers I was considering was Marv's Pit BBQ. I am curious how good you thought their BBQ was and if you thought some of their dishes were better than others? I also found it nice to see someone else's low budget wedding look so nice. Also I love the San Francisco Street Bakery, if we were getting married closer to Olympia I would have them make the wedding desserts.

Also your mini-honeymoon in Sequim looked very relaxing, my grandparents lived there and my aunt did for a while as well, it's been about 8 years since then but she was a waitress at the Alderwood Bistro. The Olympics are so gorgeous in Sequim and the surrounding area, I really need to go back. Also I've always wanted to visit Kauai, I've been to Maui twice and I'd love to visit the other islands. My fiance Tim and I are going to be going to Turkey for our honeymoon and we are both super excited!

Well I just wanted to say thanks for making your blog, it's been helpful and fun to scroll through. Also your cat is so adorable! I had a dream that I had a cat that looked like her once and in my dream I named the cat Samhain. Sorry if that's random but I just thought it weird how much my dream cat looked like your cat.

  2. Thanks for the nice comment! I thought Marv's BBQ was amazing! They let us try a bunch of dishes before we picked menu which was helpful- we went with pulled pork and rotisserie chicken with mac and cheese, coleslaw and baked beans. We made our own corn bread. It was delicious- I was very happy with them~! Have a great tie in Turkey! And good luck with wedding planning! I am so glad I never have to do it again- it was a lot of work and time.
