A hot week in Olympia!

What a hot week!  It's been in the 90s all week making it really hard to do anything!  We have been super busy though- this weekend was full of activity (which I didn't get many pictures of...): new county appraisal on the house (looks like they are going to lower the value, good for our taxes), Jack and Maggie came to visit, floating the Deschutes River in inter tubes, visiting Callie and Nuri and seeing their progress, multiple BBQed dinners, meeting our 2 different neighbors/families (we finally had to suck it up and introduce ourselves), Adam built a swing and I finished my latest "shade garden" in the front of the house, picked up some crab at the fish market, visited a new friend's newly purchased house and a short visit with my dad yesterday.  Phew! It was nice to have a weekend in Olympia- trying to stay cool!

I bought this in Plumeria Hawaii (at the airport by the way) - looks like it's going to bloom!

blooming succulents!

Happy Hydrangea- now that it has more room (Adam trimmed up the bush above it)

Here is a "before" picture- this bush was out of control and taking over the walk way- Adam did a great job trimming it up

Homemade wine from our super nice next door neighbors!  (the solar panel house)
