The whole family participated in March for Science last Saturday! It started out a little rainy, but cleared up for the actual march. Always feels good to see our community so engaged and active! Isla's getting lots of activism practice :)

Spring!
Spring is my favorite season. It's so exciting to see things popping up out of the ground. We have asparagus (it's the 3rd year so hopefully we'll get enough for at least one meal) and some morels again this year. The flowers are starting to bloom too!
Family Visit
We had a nice visit from Adam's cousin who live in Bellingham last weekend. They were down in the area for an Easter party in Yelm and stayed Saturday night. Isla loved following her 2nd cousin, Ira, around! Super cute!

Found some old photos from an Easter when Hannah and I were about Isla's age. We had a good Easter last weekend- our friends hosted an easter egg hunt and party on Saturday- Isla was super into opening and shutting the eggs. She didn't really care about finding more than one egg- maybe next year! There was an adult easter hunt too (beer and goodies). On Sunday we did an Easter basket and a couple eggs in the yard.

Easter 2017 actually marks Adam and my 10 YEAR anniversary of dating. We took a camping trip as friends and the rest is history.... I had to try to track down some old photos of the camping trip we took (with Hannah and Seth) 10 years ago. Of course there are no pictures of the two of us (oh those awkward early days where you're too shy to take a picture/pre-cell phone cameras (?)) but I did get a picture Oregon Caves which we took a tour of together that weekend. And found a bunch of pictures from trips we took in the couple first years of dating. What a long time ago 10 years feels like! And how much we've done and accomplished together! I'm so grateful we got to experience and travel so much together in our 20s! It's been an wonderful 10 years with my best friend!
