Hannah and I had a LOVELY mother's day weekend away (WITHOUT KIDS!!!). We hiked a dear favorite hike, Eagle Creek, in the rain. Eagle Creek has been closed due to forest fires and reopened last summer (?). The exit to the hike was closed and it took some problem solving and an addition like 3 miles, but we did it! Needless to say, it was pretty desserted- which was nice.
Then for a luxurious night at the Edgefield (in a room with a bathroom!) with soaking in the pools, drinks and dinner out, live music, room service breakfast, etc. etc.
Then off for some shopping in Portland and lunch before Hannah took a train home. Hoping to make this more of a yearly thing- it was so great! And we still had time for a little celebrating Sunday night when I got home.
