Weekend Getaway

Extra food and water for Sushi because we're going to Ocean Shores this weekend.  The weather looks like it's going to be nice at the beach and we're celebrating our "dating anniversary" for the last time (6 years!).  Hannah and Seth are also at the beach this weekend, but they are at Long Beach celebrating Seth's spring break.  A good weekend to get away and hang out by the ocean.

Baby Finn

Been seeing Finn a lot!  He's getting so big and starting to smile a lot!  He'll be 7 weeks this weekend- crazy how time flies!

Hannah's Hair

Hannah donated 12 inches in locks of love after her haircut this weekend!  I took some before and after  shots.

Heather's Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party

We celebrated with my cousin Heather yesterday with a shower at The Wild Ginger in Seattle (amazing food and drinks), then gifts at the Fairmont Hotel and dinner at The Pink Door.  We ended the night with a Theater Sports show at the market.  All in all it was a fun day and we had beautiful weather too.  It was great to see Heather and she was able to get a lot of wedding details finished up (while she was here for the week from Ohio) for her wedding this memorial day weekend in Tacoma.  Looking forward to the big day this May!

Sushi found a friend

Sushi and the neighbor cat have become quite the buddies.  This is not the first time we found them hanging out together.  How cute!

Happy Friday

Not to brag too much, but I have the best job.  It's been 6 months at this new job and I finally feel fully in the swing of things.  I have 13 amazing clients (ages 2 to 21), I get to make my own schedule which usually adds up to around 20 hours a week, I work with some amazing people and I finally have health insurance!  I also just had a 6-month review and got a raise, so I'm feeling pretty good about work right now.  My schedule almost always gives me a few free hours in the middle of the day, so I get to come home for lunch, which is nice.   I'm also really liking working for military families- I feel very appreciated from the families I work with.
I was nervous about coming back from Hong Kong and having to find a job but I really lucked out.  This one literally found me.  I just wanted to take a minute and acknowledge how grateful I am to be in a field I love and a job that I enjoy.

Happy First Day of Spring

Sushi and I are celebrating by staying inside where it is warm and dry today.  Here are some pictures of things that are popping up in the yard.

Happy Spring Time!

Hands On Children's Museum

I got to take these cuties to the children's museum on Sunday.  We got to see and do some of the things we missed last time- this place is HUGE!  Also, we got there at 11am right when they open so the place was pretty dead for the first hour- definitely the way to go.

The Sushi House

We've been meaning to try this restaurant for some time and we finally did last night and loved it!  I liked the table we sat at (where you have to take your shoes off and sit with your feet dangling below the table) but it was tricky getting up so we left our leftovers on the table and forgot them.  Then spent the whole ride home debating if we should turn around and go back (we didn't).... We'll definitely be back.

Jenny and John's party

Jenny and John threw a housewarming/engagement party on Saturday and we really lucked out with some nice weather!  Finn did great at his first party- he slept the whole time!

Baby Finn and Hannah's visit

Hannah came up to Olympia last week to hang out with baby Finn and help Callie out on her first week that Nuri had to go back to work.
He is so so so cute and such a good baby!  I just can't get enough of him.  He turned 1 month yesterday, which is amazing that a month has gone by already!

Happy Monday

Daylight savings was a little tough on some of us this morning...

Mt Rainer View

Sometimes I just feel so lucky to live somewhere where I get to see this amazing mountain on a clear day (like yesterday)...

Snowshoeing in Mt.Rainier

Had a great day snowshoeing with my parents in Mt. Rainier.  My photos don't do it justice and they don't show how sunny it was- but it was a gorgeous day!  It was nice to break in my Christmas present-snowshoes and get some exercise outside.
