Flower Shopping for the Wedding

Two days before the wedding Hannah, Adam and I went to the Farmer's Market in search of flowers. We found flowers AND "Salt and Straw" ice cream which Hannah has been talking up for months.  It was pretty darn amazing and very salty.  I love salty ice cream (or salty anything really).

a lot of packaging for a wok!

Pre-wedding Family BBQ

making a hair piece for Hannah

Hannah and Seth hosted a BBQ at their house on Friday night so their immediate families could meet each other before the wedding.  Their house is small, so we had to have everyone outside- and it got dark before the food was done, so we had a nice romantic candle-lit dinner outside in the dark!  Good food, good times and everyone got along great!

Wedding Success!

I love these ghost like photos I took late in the evening in the attic (after party) of Hannah and Seth's wedding.  More pictures to come soon!

Packing up for the weekend!

We are running around this morning getting all packed up for Hannah and Seth's wedding weekend!  I made this awesome looking bundt cake for a family BBQ tonight!  I also baked all sorts of snacks for the weekend so no one will go hungry!  Very excited and so happy for this beautiful weather!

Hanging out with Blackberry

I haven't posted about our bunny in a while, but he's still adorable.  He likes treats (carrots, dandelions, and especially peaches!) but doesn't like people so he'll grab one and hop off to a "safe" part of his cage to enjoy it.  Silly guy!
My new job is really slow right now so I'm getting used to spending the mornings and days at home- since I work almost exclusively in the afternoon and evenings... Today I spent the day baking and getting ready for HANNAH'S WEDDING!!!  I'm headed down to Portland tomorrow, let the festivities begin!

Wedding Countdown!

I spent the weekend in Portland helping Hannah get ready for the big day!  She had a trial run of her hair, we did a bunch of shopping and had a "work party" outside folding boxes, working on the centerpieces and the escort "pumpkins".  It was a great weekend and I can't wait for next weekend to begin!

Watching the Swifts in Portland

The swifts are a group of migrating birds that sleep in hallowed out things- like trees or chimneys and they revisit the same places each year as they migrate (correct me, mom, if I'm explaining this incorrectly).  So every Fall they come to this school in Portland and sleep in this chimney and crowds of people gather every night to watch them swarm and fly around as one by one they dive into the chimney to go to bed.  It's incredible (they look sort of like bats flying around) and impossible to portray in a picture.  The sunset and Mount Adams in the background made it a perfect night for swift watching on Sunday night!
