Rental Cabin, Kauai Honeymoon

What a lovely rental cabin we stayed in!  We lucked out again using vrbo.com!  The photo I posted earlier (which was online) must be several years old, because this cabin is completely hidden by tall bushes.  We loved our cabin and spent a lot of time in it- since it was so rainy.  It was a quick 5-10 minute walk to a nice beach and it was in a convenient location for exploring both the north and south side of the island.  The roosters (which are EVERYWHERE on the island) were a little annoying since the bedroom had screened in (but open) windows.  They started crowing around 2 or 3 in the morning- luckily the rain would shut them up and we had plenty of rain. 

Kauai Honeymoon Part 1

We had a GREAT honeymoon in Kauai!  These pictures are from the first 4 days of our trip before we made it to our rental cabin (stayed in a hotel). We went on a couple challenging hikes to waterfalls (it was muddy and slippery) in the jungle.  Tried to see the Waimea Canyon view from up the mountain, but as you can see- it was super foggy.  We went back later the next week and got some better views.  Overall, great trip- but a bit rainy.  Less of a beach vacation than I was expecting- but it was BEAUTIFUL everywhere you looked!
