Celebration of Life for Mickey Friedman

Adam's grandma (Grammie) passed away at the end of February at 90 years old.  She was an amazing lady who lived a very rich and full life- She loved life, traveling and being with family.  We are so glad that she got the whole family together just 5 years ago for a trip to Costa Rica and that she was in good health to enjoy that trip.  She loved playing scrabble and was just a wonderful lady- she will be very missed.  Her celebration of life was planned for June so that is what brought us out to Maine this summer.  Adam has 11 cousins and they were all there- the first time they've all been together in years!  The celebration weekend started with a dinner on the Island Saturday night, the service Sunday morning and a dinner at Temma's Sunday afternoon. Most of the family stayed on the Island and it was truly great to see so many people and for everyone to meet our kids.

Getting to Peaks Island: Maine Trip 2019

Phew! It wasn't an easy trip to Peaks Island this year, but it also could have been worse- the kids did pretty well and we didn't run into any travel issues!  We did wake up at 3:30am, hit the road about 4am, drive to airport, drop off the car, take a shuttle, take an airplane, take a bus, then an uber, then a ferry then a car to the house- but it was a beautiful day the next day on the Island and we explored a couple beaches with the kids!

Peaks Island very own Umbrella Cover Museum- we made 2 stops in!
