Halloween Fun

Isla is all about Halloween this year!  She's into the costumes, the decorations, the pumpkins and even the scary stuff (like the scary displays at the stores).  We'll be taking her trick-or-treating tonight, but we also enjoyed the "Boo Bash" at the Children's Museum last weekend and carving pumpkins!

House Painting Project!

We've been wanting to paint our since we bought it and we finally found the right time this Fall.  Adam worked super hard on this (with a couple friends) while I took a week off to potty train Isla.  We decided to keep the red but went for a brighter red and added purple trim and orange accent (as well as a light blue for the eves).  Adam finally got to a good stopping point this last weekend- although he wants to do a second coat on the trim and we haven't started the shop yet- so those will have to wait  until Spring.  It looks fabulous and I'm very thankful Adam knows how to paint houses!

Pumpkin Patch #2 (Salem Weekend)

Isla and I went down to Salem last weekend and enjoyed beautiful weather and a trip to the pumpkin patch and the Oregon Gardens! Love a sunny fall weekend!

Pumpkin Patch #1

Isla and I took a little trip to the local pumpkin patch the other day on a Tuesday morning (to get out of the house while the plumber was busy working on things and we had no water).  She has the "picking out a pumpkin" step down!

Plumbing Project

We just had all of our pipes replaced, installed a new water heater, water filter and well pump this week!  We hired a plumber to do all the work and it got done in 2 days.  Big project and we were out of water for a day and a half, but now we have  up-to-date plumbing and no more rusty, leaky pipes in the basement!
